The schools of the Alliance for Character in Education, The Willows Academy and Northridge Preparatory School, were founded in the mid 1970s by parents and educators who believed strongly in a family-based system of education. They were encouraged by St. Josemaria Escriva, Founder of Opus Dei, to exercise a personal responsibility for their children's education.
These two separate, independent, single-gender schools provide outstanding academics and have garnered a reputation as two of the finest schools in the nation. Educating students in grade six through twelve, The Willows and Northridge superior academics. Students at The Willows, for girls, and Northridge, for boys score well above national averages on standardized tests, earning acceptance to top colleges and universities across the nation.
